The Official Gurahl Home

"Those who have packed far up into grizzly country know that the presence of even one grizzly on the land elevates the mountains, deepens the canyons, chills the winds, brightens the stars, darkens the forest, and quickens the pulse of all who enter it. They know that when a bear dies, something sacred in every living thing interconnected with that realm... also dies."
- John Murray

Greetings, friend. I am known as Little Bear, of the Gurahl people - the firstborn, the werebears. As Gaia's oldest children, we are the protectors of both the land and its occupants. As part and parcel to that responsibility, we are also the teachers. In that role I serve today, in an effort to teach you not only about my race, but also about the world as a whole. Not the whole thing, mind you. Neither of us has the time for that!

You may be familiar with our more... active, shall we say... cousins, the Garou. - the werewolves. Where they act in packs, we are more solitary in nature. A gathering to the Gurahl rarely means more than five individuals. We have enough problems keeping our domains safe and protecting our kinfolk to gather all that often. Considering the amount of territory we cover and our low numbers, there are some of us that are not seen for decades at a time. So, I have put together some basic information on my race for your edification, as well as some general knowledge that you may find some use of. Enjoy!
